Nice to see you......

It was great to see so many people at the KM Social Care Expo yesterday. We had such a busy day (my feet were aching by the end)! It was nice to see some familiar faces from our training courses, and the new faces were great too.
We nearly ran out of our “Inductions, NVQs and other courses” booklet, due to all the interest, showing us that careers are still always looking to gain new qualifications and skills.
We were also looking for new trainers and assessors and had a great response, having more assessors and trainers means more training sessions, NVQs, etc. for you to learn from.
We would all like to thank you for visiting us and hope to see you at one of our training courses, inductions, NQVs etc. or even as one of our assessors/trainers!

Learn to Care is changing to Learn to ...

The name change is in response to the demand for our high quality training for all sectors. This is already happening in areas such as management training, customer services, day training courses and our forthcoming IT courses. We still have expertise in the Health and Social care sector and are able to offer valuable, appropriate training to match the very specific needs however our team has grown and we are able to offer even more expertise in the new areas.
Your feedback is always welcome so if you have any courses that you would like us to offer or to find out more about our current training please contact us either by phone on 01227 844 449 or e-mail the Operations Manager, Cath Witney.

OFSTED are coming!

Learn to … will be inspected by OFSTED on the week of the 21st June 2010. During this time we would welcome your feedback.
Last inspection these are some of the comments you had;
What learners liked:
• the level of support from my assessor - ’she’s willing to go out of her way to make sure you understand things’
• the good-quality feedback and advice from assessors
• I always get help with work if stuck. My assessor tells me when I’ve gone wrong
• the support network
• the helpful and approachable staff
• the good-quality communication
• the reliability and friendliness of staff

What learners think we could improve:
• the clarity of the language used in the NVQ workbooks
• the amount of information about opportunities in the future
• the opportunities to receive resources sooner
• the ability to complete one unit at a time
• the time available to complete the qualifications

So comment your views, and we will act on them.
